Aviation Section

CO Pilot Jason Jensen (Brainerd) reports flying fire detection flights and finishing the Leech Lake creel survey for the year.

CO Pilot Charles Scott (Grand Rapids) completed survey flights for Cass and Leech lakes. He flew the last wood duck telemetry flight for the season.

CO Pilot Tim Gray (Bemidji) attended online training and assisted Enforcement District 2 with a detail.

NR Pilot Brad Maas (Brainerd) attended an after-action review for a cattail spray plot in west central MN, completed Bambi bucket practice with the helicopter, and flew a fixed wing training flight. Administrative duties were also completed, and fuel trailer maintenance issues were worked on.

NR Pilot Gracie Zeller (Brainerd) attended a meeting to discuss better practices during cattail spray. She flew a fixed wing training flight and a helicopter flight for aerial firefighting bucket proficiency. She also began a course to renew her flight instructor certification.
