Weekly CO report

District 14 - East Metro area

CO Scott Arntzen (Forest Lake) spent the week patrolling area lakes and the St. Croix River checking anglers and watercraft users. He handled several calls regarding nuisance animal complaints, fielded questions about regulations for fishing border waters and spent time working on open cases. Violations for the week included fishing without a license, no PFDs on watercraft, registration and operating an ATV in a prohibited area.

CO Matt Paavola (Ham Lake) continued patrols for angling and boating activity on area lakes and rivers over the fishing opener weekend and investigated wetland complaints. Many violations encountered throughout the week including unlicensed watercraft, insufficient PFD?s, numerous anglers without a license, and extra lines.

CO Garrett Thomas (Eagan) primarily spent time monitoring boating and angling activity on local rivers. Many anglers experienced success and enjoyed the excellent weather over opening weekend. Time was also spent checking trout anglers, handling ongoing TIP calls, and working on an ongoing deer hunting investigation.
