Minnesota DNR webinars focus on ice fishing, and what’s new in boating
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources invites people interested in wildlife and outdoor skills to check out the winter program schedule for the Minnesota Outdoor Skills and Stewardship Series.
In a webinar on Wednesday, Jan. 10, DNR staff will discuss ice fishing. With ice conditions being generally unsafe in much of the state, staff will talk about critical ice safety information. The webinar will also cover what’s new in ice fishing and how simple it can be to get out and have some fun ice fishing when ice conditions allow. From using a simple hand auger and a bucket or a fancy ice-house and electric auger, hear about what anglers might need, and a few things they might want.
In a webinar on Wednesday, Jan. 17, join DNR staff live from the Minneapolis Boat Show for a discussion with the event organizers and boating experts about what to expect at this year’s show, and what’s new and interesting on the water for 2024.
The Minnesota Outdoor Skills and Stewardship Series webinars are free and offered year-round, though registration is required. Visit the Outdoor Skills and Stewardship webpage of the Minnesota DNR website for the registration portal, more information about upcoming webinars and recordings of past webinars.
