Find the snow

Snowmobile riders, cross-country skiers, and others who engage in snow-based winter activities have options for getting out, though snow depth and trail conditions vary widely across Minnesota. If you’re riding a snowmobile or heading onto the ice, remember that snow can make dangerous obstacles difficult to see.

Ice fishing shelter reminders

Ice anglers: Make sure you know the license and identification requirements for your shelter before heading out on the ice. All non-portable shelters must be licensed, and portable shelters must be licensed if left unattended. And remember the new requirements about storing garbage and waste on the ice, which are in place to keep our waterways clean!
