Summary:
The objective of this study was to bring together all past information on the Felton Prairie area, to determine the current status of the rare species, and to develop a protection and management plan based on findings. The study includes: 1) an evaluation of plant communities, 2) a search for rare plants, 3) a detailed census of the Chestnut-collared Longspur with attention also paid to other rare birds in the area, and 4) an inventory of rare butterflies. Other animals of interest, including mammals, were noted.
