We use the information gathered by the Sentinel Lakes Program to gain a better understanding of the biological, chemical, and physical processes occurring in Minnesota’s lakes. Topic experts often utilize the Sentinel Lakes framework to better understand specific research questions that extend beyond the program’s goals of monitoring these lakes over time.
