DNR events can be a great way to explore prairies in more depth. Check out these events at Minnesota Scientific and Natural Areas and State Parks, including these wildflower events at State Parks. Motivate yourself to get outside to see prairies with the Hiking and Passport Clubs and Junior Park Naturalist for the kids.
State trails such as the Casey Jones and Central Lakes also provide a fun way to explore prairies. State water trails like the Minnesota River, and several others that flow into it, give you a different prairie perspective.
