Under federal law, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is committed to ensuring that no person will be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, or age in any federally funded DNR program or activity and that no person will be discriminated against on the basis of sex in any federally funded DNR education program or activity. The DNR also prohibits discrimination against qualified persons with disabilities in all of its programs, services, and activities and will make reasonable modifications to ensure equal opportunity for access and participation.
Under state law, the DNR prohibits discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation or status with regard to public assistance in any DNR public service.

Complaint/Request Procedures
Any person who believes they have been discriminated against DNR public services based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identify, or status with regard to public assistance is encouraged to submit a complaint to the Minnesota DNR within one year of the alleged discrimination. An internal investigation or other form of dispute resolution will be used to provide a prompt and fair resolution.
Complaints shall be a written or electronic statement signed by the complainant or the complainant’s representative.
